Life has taken away Ruslan’s legs but not his will, and although he won't stand on his feet anymore, we all stand on his shoulders for his sacrifice for Armenia.

Imagine a young man, barely 18, answering the call to serve his country. Filled with patriotism, he joins the Armenian army, ready to defend his homeland. However, fate takes a cruel turn, and amid war, Ruslan loses both his legs.

In the morning, reaching for your legs to get out of bed is a motion so instinctive you've never given it a second thought. However, for Ruslan, this seemingly simple act poses a challenge. Now, compound that with all the other life obstacles, such as attending classes, commuting, and working. Every day, we confront life's difficulties and find it challenging to get by. Despite his injury, Ruslan deals with the same problems we do and much more.

ZINAPAH, Armenia's National Foundation for Servicemen's Insurance, extended a compassionate hand to Ruslan, providing him with the financial support he needed to face his challenges with dignity and hope.

Devastated by this immense loss, many would have given up, succumbing to despair. But not Ruslan. With an indomitable spirit and the proper support, he refused to let his injuries define him. Instead, he embraced his new reality, undergoing rehabilitation and receiving two prostheses.

"I'm not sharing my story to seek pity; I've emerged stronger than before. But I'm sharing it in the hope that others may find the same support I received from ZINAPAH," said Ruslan.

At ZINAPAH, we offered Ruslan a one-time payment of 10,000,000 Armenian Drams, which he invested wisely in a savings account, providing a foundation for his future. Additionally, Ruslan receives ongoing monthly support of 200,000 Armenian Drams, empowering him to pursue his education and support his family.

Today, Ruslan is pursuing a political science degree at the American University of Armenia. He has also gained professional experience by working in a bank for a year, proving that even in the face of adversity, one can achieve their dreams.

In his personal life, Ruslan has a loving and supportive girlfriend and plans to tie the knot when the time is right. He also finds a loyal companion in his Siberian husky, Volchok, who's been with him for the last seven years. In his free time, he enjoys learning new things, especially about visual arts and graphic design, in which he has a keen interest.

Your generous contributions to ZINAPAH will enable us to continue offering financial support to Ruslan and countless other servicemen like him.

Together, we can empower these heroes to realize their dreams, ensuring their sacrifices for Armenia are never forgotten.

United for our soldiers...
