The Artfor's - art for more: artists save lives
On February 19, a charity auction will start in support of Armenian servicemen and their families who suffered from the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh – more than 4,000 families of those killed and more than 700 disabled war veterans. The second charity auction #ArtForArmenia theartfors.com will be held online at the new auction site The Artfor's and will last one week until February 26. The first #ArtForArmenia auction was held in November 2020 and brought in over $42,000 in favor of aid to victims of the hostilities.
The auction will feature more than 50 works by artists from all over the world who donated their paintings: various genres of painting, graphics and drawing, styles from classics to abstract art, monumental and small paintings. The auction will feature works by Yuri Grigoryan, Harutyun Dzhinanyan (JINO), Ekaterina Rozhkova, Galina Bystritskaya, Lena Ashraf and others.
A unique art object of Arthur Vardanyan – traditional Armenian lavash with the face of Christ miraculously burnt out – will become an unconditional phenomenon of upcoming trading. “I am the bread of life” is one of the limited edition items in which only 33 lavash were baked with the blessing of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Another such lavash is presented in the Sergei Parajanov Museum in Yerevan.
The auction format assumes the highest transparency: buyers will transfer the amount directly to the Insurance Foundation for Servicemen (IFS) of Armenia. IFS has a sole mission to provide monetary compensation to families of fallen heroes and to veterans severely injured due to war. IFS funds are generated by mandatory contributions that every taxpayer in Armenia and Artsakh pays, voluntary donations from 70+ countries worldwide as well as asset management. To date, IFS has 4704 active cases, where 4,287 cases were received after the recent war in Artsakh and has paid out over $116,000,000 in compensation.
Don't miss the opportunity to support Armenian people and get a memorable painting for yourself or for a gift. The full catalog is available on the theartfors.com auction website. Bidding will last from February 19 to February 26.
