1. How to submit applications
The Beneficiary files an application and submits the documents to the Regional Administration or a District Administration in Yerevan. Once the package is compiled, it is sent to the RA Ministry of Defense. Upon its confirmation by the Ministry the package is transferred to the Insurance Foundation for Servicemen. The latter provides a compensation after receiving the documents. Based on the experience, we can state that the whole procedure lasts from 2 to 3 weeks. However, owing to the great number of applications, in certain cases the process can last longer to complete.

3. Which banks are eligible for payments?

The account is opened at the bank affiliate the closest to address of the beneficiary. The choice of the bank is made by the Foundation. No transference can be made to any other bank account. This account is a special one and the financial means it contains are inviolable and therefore, cannot be confiscated by the CESA (Compulsory Enforcement Service), for example.
4. Where am I to submit the documents?
The documents must be submitted:
- To the Legal Departments of Regional Offices in marzes.
- To the Legal Departments in District Administrations in Yerevan
- To the Social Department at the Defense Army in Artsakh

5. Is it possible to deprive the beneficiary of the compensation?
No, the Foundation has no right to deprive the Beneficiary of his/her compensation.
6. Can the Beneficiary refuse the compensation in favor of another Beneficiary?
No, each Beneficiary receives his/her own compensation and is free to decide how to use the sum upon reception.
7. What should I do in case a document establishing paternity is missing?
You should apply to the court to establish paternity.

8. What happens if beneficiaries do not agree who should receive the compensation?
A separate account is opened for each Beneciary and the sum is equally divided among them. The share of children under 18 is usually transferred to the mother.
9. What happens if one of the Beneficiaries is missing?
The Foundation pays the shares of the other Beneficiaris and waits for 6 months for the appearance of the missing Beneficiary. If, however, the latter fails to appear within 6 months, his/her share is distributed among the others. Provided he appears after years, he will receive his share of monthly payments.
10. What happens if the wife of the deceased soldier is pregnant?
An unborn child is also a Beneficiary. You should apply to the court to establish paternity.
11. What if the same happens as with the Pan-Armenian Foundation?
Excluded. All the donations in the 1000plus Insurance Foundation for Servicemen follow a single purpose – to ensure the well-being of the soldier or his family. Anyone can log in the website at any time and check the funds allocated to the Foundation, as well as the total sum of the compensations already made. Transparency and Accountability are fundamental principles for us.
12. Are the families of missing persons eligible to receive compensation?
Yes. You should apply to the court starting from February 10, 2021, to establish the person as missing. See the reply to Question 4 once you receive the court decision establishing the person as missing.
13. Where do we get the disability degree?
The disability degree is provided by the state-authorized body based on the results of the medico-sociological surveywhich is in no way related to the Foundation. For further information, please, visit http://www.mlsa.am/?page_id=1317
14. Who is eligible to receive additional payment of 100.000?
A serviceman or his family members have the right to receive additional monthly payment of 100.000 AMD, provided the serviceman has three or more children at the time of compensation who are:
✔ Under 18
✔ Full-time students under 23
✔ Handicapped and have received the disability degree before turning 18
The Beneficiary who is illegible to receive the addiational monthly payment of 100.000AMD must also submit an application for receiving the additional monthly payment together with the application for compensation.
15. Can volunteers receive compensation?
Sure, provided the volunteer has officially been attached to a military unit. If no, please, contact the Ministry of Defense.
16. How are the cases prior to 2017 compensated?
The Beneficiaries of 2008 to 2016 2008-2016 are provided only monthly compensations. The Foundation pays the rest of the estimated monthly payment which remains after removing the sum of the pensipon paid by the State. For example, if the Beneficiary receives 60.000 from the state and the sum to be provided by the Foundation totals to 200.000 AMD, the Foundation will pay the difference, i.e. 140.000 AMD.
17. Who are elligible to receive compensation from the Foundation after the war in 2020?
Starting from 2020 the Foundation provides compensation to:
✔ Each serviceman in disability groups 1 or 2,
✔ The family of each serviceman who has been killed or has been established as missing.
18. Who are the Beneficiaries of the family of the servicemen?
1) The spouse of the serviceman
2) The offspring of the serviceman
3) The parent(s) of the serviceman
19. What is the amount of the compensation?
Then families of the fallen and missing servicemen and the servicemn in disability group 1 receive a one-time compensation totaling to 10 mln AMD and a monthly payment of 200.000-300.000 for the next 20 years.
20. Who can we contact for legal assistance?

21. Which cases are not eligible for compensation?
The Foundation provides compensation only to the servicemen who have died or have become handicapped during military actions.
