Seven new postage stamps dedicated to the theme “Insurance Foundation for Servicemen”
On December 22nd, 2020, seven postage stamps dedicated to the theme “Insurance Foundation for Servicemen” were cancelled and put into circulation.
Cancellation was done by Haypost director Mr Hayk Karapetyan, the director of The Insurance Foundation for Servicemen Mr Varoujan Avetikyan, and the President of the Union of Philatelists Mr Hovik Musayelyan.
You can make a donation to the Insurance Foundation for Servicemen via https://postcards.stamps.am page. The whole amount will be transferred to the Foundation and the Haypost company will send the selected postcard to your address as a sign of a memento of your donation. Delivery is free of charge. In Yerevan it will take one day, in regions 2-3 days. Delivery abroad will take 14-30 days.
Hayk Karapeyan said, “It is one of our most important duties to support soldiers and their families. This is not the first partnership between Haypost and The Insurance Foundation for Servicemen. Haypost has previously circulationed donation stamps and the money generated was also transferred to the fund”.
The director of The Insurance Foundation for Servicemen and the President of the Union of Philatelists highlighted the importance of such partnership.
The postcards depict statues of Mesrop Mashtots, David of Sassoun, Martiros Saryan, Arno Babadjanyan, Komitas, Leonid Engibaryan against the background of Artsakh nature, as well as the soldier Albert Havhannisyan during the military actions, who was posthumously awarded the medal “For Courage”of Artsakh. Postcard design belongs to Rem Sahakyan. The author of Albert Hovhannisyan’s picture is Sipan Gyulumyan.
